Gonggar International Airport connects to many destinations, and the Qinghai-Tibet Railway allows train travel into Tibet; city attractions are fairly concentrated and can be reached on foot or by vehicle; trips to Namtso, Yamdrok Lake, and other places require chartered vehicles or group tours.
