For long-distance travel between cities in mainland China, high-speed rail or domestic flights are the usual choices. We do not sell domestic rail or domestic flight tickets ourselves (we only sell our own charter flights and tour packages), so this page simply points you to official/authorised booking channels: rail tickets to China Railway official platform, domestic flights to Trip.com. Schedules, times and fares are subject to what those platforms show in real time.

Official channel: China Railway 12306 English site (www.12306.cn/en) — the only official online ticketing channel of China Railway, no mark-up, supports real-name tickets purchased with a foreign passport.
✈ Domestic flights
Search mainland China flight schedules and fares on Trip.com (Trip.com international), which supports international credit cards and multiple languages; airline official websites are also an option.

Where to buy
The official online channels of China Railway are the 12306 website and app; tickets are also sold at station counters, ticket machines and authorised railway ticket agencies. Always buy through official channels and beware of mark-ups and fake agents.
ID & real-name ticket
China Railway uses real-name ticketing. Foreign travellers may buy a real-name ticket with a valid passport; board according to the date and train on the ticket and pass the gate with the same ID used for purchase.
Train types
G-prefixed trains are high-speed (about 300–350 km/h), D-prefixed are EMU (about 200–250 km/h), C-prefixed are intercity EMU, and Z/T/K are conventional trains. High-speed and conventional stations may differ — please check the station name.
Seat classes
Common classes are second class, first class and business class (conventional trains offer hard seat / hard sleeper / soft sleeper, etc.). Choose according to trip length and budget.
Book in advance
Rail tickets are sold within an advance-booking window; for popular routes and holidays book as early as possible. Exact release times and booking window are subject to 12306 official information.
E-ticket
Most lines use e-tickets: no paper ticket needed — pass the gate and board with the ID used for purchase. If you need a reimbursement receipt, obtain it at the station or via 12306.

Where to buy
Domestic flight tickets can be bought on airline official websites or reputable platforms such as Trip.com; prices and change/refund rules are subject to the issuing platform.
Baggage & check-in
Domestic flight baggage allowance depends on the fare class — check it on the booking platform; online check-in and seat selection are usually available, with slight differences between wide-body and narrow-body aircraft.
Airport transfers
Airports in major cities can usually be reached by metro / airport express / ride-hailing / taxi; some cities have several airports — please confirm your departure airport.
