After breakfast, you will travel east along the beautiful Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway to Nyingchi Prefecture to visit the world's deepest canyon - the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. Suosong Village-Basum Tso

This morning you can get up early to watch the magnificent sunrise over Namcha Barwa Peak, then head to the turquoise of the plateau—Basum Lake. Basum Lake is the only natural 5A-level scenic area in Tibet and is known as the "Little Switzerland" of Nyingchi. The scenic area combines snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, waterfalls, pastures, cultural relics and historic sites, and famous ancient temples. The scenery is extraordinary and changes with the four seasons, and it gathers many rare and precious wild plants, truly a paradise on earth. After arriving at Basum Lake, you need to take the scenic area shuttle bus to the core scenic area of Basum Lake, the Island in the Lake. Legend says this island is a "hollow island," meaning the island is not connected to the lake bottom and floats on the water. On the island there is also the Tang Dynasty building "Tsozong Gongba Temple," a famous Nyingma Red Sect temple in Tibet. Lhasa-Namtso-Lhasa

In the early morning, you will drive through the Northern Tibet grasslands. Along the way, colorful prayer flags flutter in the wind. Then you will speed along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway, cross the Laken La Pass at an altitude of 5,190 meters, and arrive at 【"Heavenly Lake" Namtso】, the first of Tibet's three great sacred lakes. Namtso is 4,718 meters above sea level, the highest-altitude large lake in the world, and the second-largest saltwater lake in China. To the south is the perpetually snow-capped Nyainqêntanglha Mountains, and to the north and west are plateau hills. With broad lakeshores and grasslands surrounding the lake, the water and grass are abundant. The lake water has a high salt content, and the basin is rich in wildlife resources, including yaks and goats. The lake also has many wild waterfowl and produces scale fish and scaleless fish. The lake water is clear and reflects the surrounding snow mountains, with beautiful scenery. Namtso is like a crystal-clear pearl inlaid on the vast Changtang grasslands. After the visit, return to Lhasa by the same route. Tip: The drive today is relatively long and tiring, and you will need to get up early. Lhasa-Yamdrok Lake-Karola Glacier-Manla Reservoir-Shigatse

After breakfast, you will set off from Zedang to Shigatse in Tsang. Along the way, you will cross the Kamba La Pass at 5,030 meters, which is also the best spot to overlook Yamdrok Lake. The azure sky and lake water complement each other, and the pure lake water shows different shades of blue under the sunlight, a breathtaking sight. Afterwards, you will head to the world's highest freshwater lake - Yamdrok Lake. Yamdrok Lake, abbreviated as Yamdrok, means "swan lake" in Tibetan. At 4,441 meters, it is one of Tibet's three great sacred lakes, and its beauty is unmatched in southern Tibet. The clear lake water, towering snow mountains, and washed-blue sky merge into one, and the picturesque scenery makes one linger. After visiting Yamdrok Lake, you will drive via Nagarzê to visit the Karola Glacier at over 5,000 meters. Karola Glacier, located by the roadside, is like a giant thangka hanging on the mountain wall, crystal clear and pure white, so close it seems you could touch it. Afterwards, you will continue toward Shigatse, passing Noijin Kangsang Snow Mountain and Manla Reservoir. Noijin Kangsang Snow Mountain is shrouded in white clouds year-round, with falling snow grains accumulating and compacting over the years to form ice layers 20-100 meters thick. Under the influence of its own gravity, the ice slowly moves and develops into multiple glaciers. Manla Reservoir is similar to Yamdrok Lake, a stretch of emerald water nestled among the mountains. Although it is a man-made reservoir, the turquoise water reflecting the distant mountains makes it especially beautiful. Then arrive in Shigatse for overnight stay.

Shigatse-Mount Everest Base Camp-Basong Village

After breakfast, you will travel by vehicle through Lhatse and Tingri to visit Mount Everest, with breathtaking scenery along the way. On the way, you will also pass the Gyawu La Pass at an altitude of 5,210 meters. Here you can see the spectacular sight of four snow-capped mountains over 8,000 meters arranged in a row. From left to right, these four peaks are: Makalu (8,463 meters); Lhotse (8,516 meters); Mount Everest (8,848 meters); Cho Oyu (8,201 meters). Afterward, you will continue to Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp is one of the best places to view and photograph Mount Everest. At dusk, as night gradually shrouds the mountains, only the summit of Everest shines in the sunset like a goddess's golden crown in the sky, letting you enjoy the glory of standing atop the roof of the world. Then leave at the appropriate time to stay overnight at a guesthouse in Basong Village below Everest Base Camp.

Basong Village-Tashilhunpo Monastery-Shigatse

After breakfast, return to Shigatse along the same route and visit 【Tashilhunpo Monastery】, the seat of successive Panchen Lamas. The monastery was built in 1447 and is one of the six great monasteries of the Yellow Sect. It also enshrines the world's largest indoor bronze seated Buddha, the Jampa Buddha, built in 1914 under the supervision of the Ninth Panchen Lama, Choekyi Nyima. The monastery also treasures Buddhist scriptures written in gold powder, such as the Kangyur and Tengyur. With the guide's explanations, you can learn about this famous monastery of Tsang.
