Giant Panda National Park

The giant panda is a species unique to China. Covering the areas of Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces, Giant Panda National Park preserves the panda's natural habitat. This giant national park region encompasses 67 panda reserves, which are home to 1,340 wild giant pandas as well as many other rare animals, such as the Sichuan golden monkey and snow leopards.
Among the panda reserves in the national park, highly recommend Wolong Nature Reserve and Ya'an Bifengxia Giant Panda Protection and Research Center, because of their large numbers of pandas, beautiful natural environments, and easy access from Chengdu city. Right now, there are 74 pandas in the Wolong base and more than 60 at Bifengxia. Wolong Nature Reserve is the only base where you can see the pandas at night.
