Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake - Puma Yumco - Tuiwa Monastery - Lhasa
In the morning, you will go to the Border Defense Building on Deji Road to gather. After uniformly processing the border permit, depart from Lhasa along National Highway 318 to enjoy the magnificent Yarlung Tsangpo River. Afterwards, pass through [Gangbala Pass], which is the best location to overlook Yamdrok Lake. The clear and transparent water of Yamdrok Lake winds among the high mountains. With a gentle breeze, under the sunlight the deep blue lake water changes into dreamlike colors such as light green, emerald green, and deep blue, offering an ultimate beautiful view. Then arrive at the lakeside viewing platform of [Yamdrok Lake], where you can take photos as souvenirs. Many classic ribbon-shaped Yamdrok Lake photos were created here. You can take photos as souvenirs, get close to Yamdrok Lake, or stroll along the lakeshore to enjoy the stunning scenery of Yamdrok Lake with mirror-like blue waves and water and sky merging into one color.
After lunch in Nagarze, you will continue to [Puma Yumco], known as the 'Tears of the Fairy'. The tranquil lake surface is surrounded by mountains. Every winter, the transparent blue ice on Puma Yumco is breathtakingly beautiful in the sunlight, and it is also called 'China's Baikal'. Then visit [Tuwa Temple]. Tuwa Temple is the only temple in Tuwa Village, a primitive village located at the foot of the Himalayas on the China-Danube border. Here you can experience the simple Tibetan customs and enjoy the excellent scenery of the clear Puma Yumco.
Then return to Lhasa, and the journey ends happily!
Tip: When taking photos at the mountain pass at the Yamdrok Lake parking lot, local Tibetans may peddle Tibetan-style trinkets. If you do not want to buy, do not entangle with them to avoid arguments.
