Upon landing, our guide will be waiting for you outside Lhasa Airport with the warmest smile on the plateau. Having just arrived at high altitude, you need to slow down your pace and relax. Our guide will take you to the hotel to rest, allowing your body to gradually adapt to the high-altitude environment. Tashi Delek! This morning you will visit the world's highest ancient palace-style architectural complex, the [Potala Palace], which was also the residence of successive Dalai Lamas and the center of Tibetan political and religious power. Before ascending the Potala Palace, you must climb 1,080 steps. Although it will be a little tiring, along the way you can overlook the entire city of Lhasa, and the beautiful scenery will make you forget your physical fatigue! In the afternoon you will visit the [Jokhang Temple], the holy site in the hearts of Tibetan Buddhist believers. Lama Nyima Tsering once said, "Going to Lhasa without visiting the Jokhang Temple is like never having been to Lhasa," and countless travelers who have been there fully agree. The Jokhang Temple blends Tibetan, Tang, Nepalese and Indian architectural styles, and is a model of Tibetan religious architecture. After leaving the Jokhang Temple, you can walk clockwise around the Jokhang Temple as its center, imagining yourself as a Tibetan doing a kora, or go bargain-hunting at the handicraft market on [Barkhor Street]. You can also simply stroll the streets of Lhasa, feel the warmth of the City of Sunlight, or find a sweet tea house to experience a leisurely Tibetan-style afternoon tea and learn from the tranquility and contentment of Tibetan friends. Warm reminder: Potala Palace tickets are pre-purchased and have visiting time restrictions. We will flexibly adjust the order of the itinerary according to the actual reserved visiting time. Entering the Potala Palace involves a security check; dangerous items may not be carried. After entering the Potala Palace, photography is prohibited.

A lazy morning, accompanied by Lhasa's morning light. After breakfast, we will drive to the 【Tibetan Culture Experience Center】 to experience traditional Tibetan handicrafts and learn about the production processes of Tibetan incense, Tibetan calligraphy, thangka, and woodblock printing. You can also take your works home as souvenirs. In the afternoon, we will go to 【Sera Monastery】 to watch the famous debate activities. The debate time generally starts at 15:00 (if the monastery temporarily holds religious ceremonies or receives specific individuals, the debate activities may be canceled. Please understand!!). During the debate, the lamas in the venue will engage in fierce debates, and you can truly feel the faith and power of Tibetan Buddhism. After the activity, you can return to the hotel to rest and relieve the fatigue of the day.

After breakfast, you will depart from Lhasa and drive to Shigatse. On the way, you will cross the 4,900-meter-high 【Gampala Snow Mountain】, then head toward the world's highest freshwater lake, 【Yamdrok Lake】. Yamdrok Lake is one of the three great sacred lakes of Tibet and is also praised as the most beautiful water in the world. The scenery there is enchanting, with deep blue lake water echoing the distant snow mountains, making you feel relaxed and joyful at the sight. Afterward, the vehicle will continue along the shore of Yamdrok Lake and pass 【Karo La Glacier】, the exterior filming location of the movie Red River Valley. Karo La Glacier is right by the highway, and you can gaze at the towering glacier from inside the vehicle. Then continue all the way to the anti-British heroic town 【Gyantse】, an ancient city with more than 600 years of history and a key transportation stronghold from U-Tsang to Tsang. Here you can look out at the 【Gyantse Dzong Anti-British Site】 and visit 【Pelkor Chode Monastery】, the only site integrating Tibet's three major sects and famous for its exquisite murals and carvings, with its Hundred Thousand Buddha Stupa. Then drive to Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city.

After breakfast, you will visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the resting place of the Panchen Lama's soul and one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug school. Tashilhunpo Monastery is the largest monastery in Shigatse and the seat of successive Panchen Lamas, once also the political center of the rear Tibet region. The monastery houses the world's largest seated bronze Buddha statue, the 28-meter-tall "Maitreya Buddha" (Jampa Buddha). After the visit, you will drive back to Lhasa. The return journey need not be rushed. Slow down and stop at the Yarlung Valley, the cradle of ancient Tibetan civilization. Stand quietly and let the rivers, snow-capped mountains, pastoral farmlands, riverbank valleys, and alpine vegetation... everything within sight be veiled in crystal-clear sky blue, serene and tranquil. The speckled patches of shade nearby are not blemishes, but the splendid interplay of sunlight piercing through white clouds.

After breakfast, we will conclude this itinerary. You may choose to return home by plane or train. On that day, according to your flight or train time, we will arrange a driver to take you to the airport or train station.
