[Enchanting Nyingchi] 9-Day Tour of Nyingchi Bomi Peach Blossoms, Ranwu, Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake, and Shigatse

Gala Peach Blossom Village Gala Village is located by the Nyang River at the foot of the mountains, surrounded by wild peach forests stretching for a hundred li. It is both an administrative village and known as "the First Village of Peach Blossoms." Over 1,200 wild peach trees in Gala Village form a "Shangri-La" of more than 270 mu. When spring arrives, peach blossoms bloom in succession, covering the mountains in pink clouds, and the countryside is filled with brightness. Sejila Mountain Pass Located east of Nyingchi County and part of the Nyainqentanglha Range, at an elevation of 4,728 meters. Standing at the pass, you can fully enjoy the sea of clouds and sea of forests, and gaze into the distance at Namcha Barwa, which at 7,782 meters was named "China's Most Beautiful Mountain" by Chinese National Geography in 2005. Lulang Forest Sea Viewing Platform A forest shrouded in clouds and mist, known as "the place that makes you not want to go home." The entire scenic area is picturesque, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with lush forests in the valley and meadows so neat they look artificially trimmed.

[Guxiang Lake] Guxiang Lake is located 33 km from Bomi County. The lake surface is at an elevation of 2,600 meters, 5 kilometers long, 2 kilometers at its widest point, and over 20 meters at its deepest—it is a freshwater barrier lake. [Bomi Peach Blossom Valley] The entire Peach Blossom Valley stretches for 30 km and features the most beautiful and unrestrained peach blossoms in all of Nyingchi. [Rawu Lake] In Tibetan, Rawu Lake is called Rawu Tso ("Tso" means lake in Tibetan). It is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The meltwater from the snow and ice on the mountains forms its main water source and is also the source of the famous Parlung Tsangpo River. By the lakeside are green grass and crops; on the mountainsides are dense forests—it is very beautiful.

[Laigu Glacier] Laigu Glacier is a collective name for a group of glaciers, located in Ranwu Town, Baxoi County, Chamdo Prefecture, Tibet, adjacent to Ranwu Lake. The meltwater flows into Ranwu Lake. The lakeshore is covered with dense primeval forests and many primitive Tibetan villages, including the Meixi, Yalong, Ruojiao, Dongga, Xiongjia, and Niuma glaciers. The scenic area is relatively pristine, and different glaciers are open depending on the season. Scenic area notice: From April to October, the Dongga Glacier is most likely to be open, and the most famous part of the Dongga route is the blue ice cave. Visitors take the scenic area shuttle to the summer pasture (round trip about 40 km). After arriving at the summer pasture, you can choose to hike (free, round trip about 4 km, altitude 4,100-4,400 meters) or ride a horse (at your own expense, reference price 300 yuan/person, paid at the horseback riding point; the actual amount is subject to the posted price at the scenic area's riding point) to the blue ice cave. 【Zhaxigang Village】 Zhaxigang Village is located in a plateau mountain meadow area, with green mountains on both sides rising from low to high, composed of shrubs and dense spruce, pine, and other trees forming an endless forest sea. Between the green mountains are neat meadows. Here, streams meander, flowers bloom abundantly, and wooden fences and plank houses are interspersed, forming a tranquil and beautiful "mountain dwelling picture" with the distant snow mountains and nearby forest sea. In spring and summer, various flowers spread across the green meadows and forest sea, competing in beauty. In autumn and winter, Zhaxigang Village enters the season with the thickest clouds and mist, with clouds and mist lingering among the mountains, and towering snow peaks appearing faintly.

Basum Tso Basum Tso Scenic Area combines snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, waterfall pastures, and ancient temples into one, with distinctive scenery that changes with the four seasons. It is a national forest park and a 5A-level scenic area. Lake-Heart Island A private island of the monastery. Circumambulating Lake-Heart Island clockwise, you can see the peach-embracing-pine, the former water burial platform, the "Alphabet Tree" whose leaves naturally bear Tibetan letters, the sacred spring where Padmasambhava washed his face, and the blending of distant mountains and lake water... On the island stands the ancient Tsozong Gongba Monastery, where you can see another side of Tibetan religion—phallic worship. These are placed on either side of the temple's stone steps, male on the left and female on the right, symbolizing respect for life. Jieba Village The best location for viewing Basum Tso and the two surrounding snow-capped mountains, "King's Throne" and "Burning Flame." This place has not been developed and has no commercial atmosphere; everything we see is bestowed by nature. A clear stream flows gently, surrounded by mountains; on the meadows, horses, cattle, and sheep dot the landscape like stars, grazing and strolling leisurely.

[Potala Palace] (visit limited to 1 hour) Songtsen Gampo spent half his life conquering the Tubo kingdom and the other half building magnificent palaces and temples. Wandering among the golden Buddhist halls, stupas, living quarters, and corridors—with dim lights, lowered curtains, and the scent of butter tea filling the air—you feel as if you have fallen into an ancient dream, involuntarily losing yourself among the scriptures, Buddha statues, murals, and distant legends. [Yamdrok Lake] Yamdrok Lake is a freshwater lake and one of Tibet's three great sacred lakes. The water is as clear as mutton fat, sweet, and drinkable. The deep blue lake merges with the distant snow mountains, and with the varied mountain ranges on both sides, distinctive Tibetan villages, and cattle and sheep everywhere, the journey is refreshing and delightful. Yamdrok Lake covers an area of 638 square kilometers, with a surface elevation of 4,441 meters and a shoreline of 250 kilometers. This lake is also considered a turquoise earring dropped by a goddess into the mortal world. Standing at the top of Gambala Pass at 4,950 meters and looking south, Yamdrok Lake is like a sapphire set among the peaks, its blue waters smooth as a mirror, bright blue reflecting the sky. [Karo La Glacier] (about 20 minutes) One of Tibet's three major continental glaciers, the glacier is backed by Mount Noijin Kangsang, one of Tibet's four highest peaks. The massive glacier extends from the misty summit all the way down to the roadside, just a few hundred meters from the highway. Although affected by dust from the highway over the years, giving the glacier an overall black-and-white layered appearance, the upper part of the glacier shines brilliantly in the sunlight like a giant thangka hanging on the mountain wall. It gained fame because the films "Red River Valley," "The Battle of Gyantse," and "The Road Home" were filmed here. Overnight in Shigatse—the center of Tsang Shigatse, meaning "the finest manor" in Tibetan, is one of "Tibet's granaries." It was historically the political, religious, and cultural center of Tsang, and the seat of successive Panchen Lamas. With a history of over 500 years, it is currently Tibet's second-largest city. 【Tashilhunpo Monastery】(about 1 hour visit) Tashilhunpo Monastery, also known as "Auspicious Mount Sumeru Monastery", is the largest monastery in the Shigatse region. Along with Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, and Ganden Monastery in Lhasa, as well as Kumbum Monastery in Qinghai and Labrang Monastery in Gansu, it is listed as one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug school. It was founded in 1447 by Gendun Drup, the First Dalai Lama and a disciple of Tsongkhapa. At its peak, Tashilhunpo Monastery had over 3,000 rooms, over 5,000 monks, over 50 subordinate monasteries, and over 30 manors and pastures. Starting from the Fourth Panchen Lama, subsequent Panchen Lamas all took this monastery as their seat. The current Tashilhunpo Monastery has: 4 dratsangs, 56 assembly halls, over 3,600 rooms, over 800 monks, and a total area of 300,000 square meters. Highlights Known as the pride of Tsang, it is the seat of successive Panchen Lamas and the largest monastery in the Tsang region, collectively known as one of the four great monasteries of Tibet along with the three great monasteries of Lhasa. The Maitreya Buddha Hall enshrines a bronze Buddha statue, using 231,400 jin of brass and 6,700 taels of gold. For inlaying just the Buddha's eyebrows, over 1,400 diamonds, pearls, etc., of various sizes were used.
