In the morning, drive from Lhasa along the Lhasa–Nyingchi Expressway, cross the 5,013 m Mira Pass, and head to Nyingchi, known as the "Jiangnan of the Plateau" and an oxygen bar. Travel east along the Nyang River, passing Songtsen Gampo's birthplace and the Middle Stream Pillar, experiencing the refreshing beauty of Tibet's Jiangnan with green mountains and clear waters. After lunch, visit Basum Tso, the sacred lake of the Red Sect—a tear left by an angel. The lake is shaped like a crescent embedded in high mountain gorges, with crystal-clear water and snow mountains reflected in the lake, truly returning one to "Shangri-La," intoxicating. Snow peaks, glaciers, primeval forests, and historical sites tightly surround Basum Tso; at sunset the snow peak summits turn red while the base remains deep blue-black, tree silhouettes near the lake float on the water surface, and the lake is deep blue, making this place like a fairyland on earth. There is a small island in the lake with a temple built in the late Tang Dynasty—Tsozong Gongba Temple—enshrining Guru Rinpoche, Thousand-Armed Guanyin, and the Golden Boy and Jade Girl. Then drive to Bayi Town in Nyingchi for overnight stay.

In the morning, from Bayi Town in Nyingchi along National Highway 318, pass through the Palung Tsangpo jungle, Pailong Menba Ethnic Township, and the Tongmai Plank Road, traveling among towering steep mountains, through stunning scenery of glacier cliffs and snow mountain mists, to Bomi, known as "Jiangnan of the Snow Region." Then via Baxoi arrive at Midui Glacier, China's most beautiful glacier. This "world-class glacier wonder" hidden among sacred mountains features an ice waterfall plunging from heights of 700–800 m, magnificent and peculiar, inspiring awe at nature's craftsmanship. Here the ever-shining glacier merges with lakes, farmland, villages, and forests to form a stunning landscape painting. Next visit the stunning Rawok Lake. Fresh and mirror-like, Rawok Lake is rich in color: grasslands, forests, autumn leaves, white waterfowl, and colorful pebbles on the lakeshore shallows, together with the azure lake water and snow-capped peaks, create picturesque scenery. The long narrow lake winds westward for over ten kilometers, gradually narrowing into a river valley; depending on the season, the water shows various colors from azure to blue-green. Many rocks and islets dot the channel; in spring tree shadows dance on the lake, in autumn and winter thin mist spreads—scenery of all four seasons makes one feel in a dream. After sightseeing, return to Bomi for overnight stay.

In the morning, depart for Gangxiang Spruce Forest in the middle-lower reaches of the Parlung Tsangpo. This is one of the central areas of modern glacier development on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with rare maritime glaciers. The area has dense forests mainly of spruce and fir, connected mountains and waters, ancient towering trees merging with surrounding snow mountains and lakes. Rare wildlife is frequently active here, and various precious medicinal herbs are abundant. On the return trip, pass through Lulang Forest Sea, a forest in clouds and mist with the reputation of "making people not want to go home." The entire scenic area is picturesque, surrounded by snow mountains, with lush forests in the valley and neatly trimmed-looking meadows among the trees. Finally return to Nyingchi for overnight stay.

After breakfast, visit Katig Falls, also known as Gadinggou Heavenly Buddha Waterfall. The terrain is steep and towering, a typical gorge landform, with peculiar peaks, strange rocks, and ancient towering trees, and a waterfall with a drop of nearly 200 m plunging magnificently. On the cliffs are naturally formed Great Buddha, Goddess, Guanyin, Dharma Protectors, Tathagata Buddha, lamas chanting, divine turtle calling to heaven, divine eagle offering treasure, butter lamps, and Tibetan "Six-Character Mantra" Buddha characters. Then continue to a Tibetan village to participate in distinctive folk village activities (tasting butter tea, eating sweets, learning about their daily life and diet) to experience Tibetan culture. Finally, on the return journey, enjoy the scattered water birds of various colors along the Nyang River, terraced fields, and unique Tibetan villages, depicting a plateau paradise scroll. Return to Lhasa in the evening for overnight stay.

In the morning, drive from Lhasa, follow National Highway 318 to the bridge junction, and travel along the scenery of the Yarlung Tsangpo River to Gambala Pass (elevation 4,990 m), the perfect spot to overlook Yamdrok Lake (elevation 4,441 m), one of the "Three Great Sacred Lakes of Tibet." From the Tibetan-style viewing platform adorned with fluttering colorful prayer flags and a giant mani pile, gaze at the clear, calm lake surface shifting in the sunlight through varying shades of light blue, deep blue, and sky blue, mirroring the washed-clean blue sky, with towering snow mountains in the distance—an ultimate beauty unrivaled in southern Tibet. If you are lucky, you may even witness a wonder of dark clouds on one side, a brilliant rainbow on another, and endless sunset glow elsewhere. After lunch at Nagarze, continue driving to visit Karola Glacier (elevation 5,000 m). Standing right by the roadside, the glacier is like a giant thangka hanging on the mountain wall, crystal clear and pure white, so close it seems you could touch it. Finally, via Gyantse Ancient Town, proceed to Shigatse (elevation 3,750 m), capital of Tsang, for overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart from Shigatse, pass Lhatse, cross Gyatso La Snow Mountain, and arrive in Tingri County at the northern foot of the Himalayas at the foot of Everest. From here begins the journey to explore the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. First arrive at Gyawu La Pass, the world's most spectacular snow mountain viewing platform, where you can see four 8,000 m peaks of the Himalayas towering in the distance. Then arrive at Everest Base Camp at 5,200 m, home to Rongbuk Monastery, the world's highest monastery, with white stupas standing and colorful prayer flags fluttering—the recognized best spot to gaze upon Everest. As night gradually falls and dusk slowly shrouds the mountains, only Everest's summit shines in the sunset like a goddess's golden crown in the sky, enjoying the glory of dominating the world's summit.

In the early morning, while the peaks still sleep in dawn, face the rising sun and gaze upon Everest, receiving the soul's baptism from the world's highest peak (elevation 8,844.43 m). Admire the world's highest peak with year-round snow on the summit, hanging glaciers, and towering silver peaks—a scene of holy purity. With lingering memories of Everest's beauty, return to Shigatse.

After breakfast, drive to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of successive Panchen Lamas. For over 500 years, it has attracted numerous Buddhist pilgrims and visitors from home and abroad to worship and admire. Inside, incense smoke rises, butter lamps flicker, and Buddha statues have varied countenances; in the main hall, monks chant in orderly fashion, and pilgrims prostrate before the Buddha images. Here is enshrined the world's largest indoor bronze seated Buddha, the Maitreya Buddha, built in 1914 under the supervision of the 9th Panchen Lama Thubten Choekyi Nyima, and preserved are the Kangyur and Tengyur scriptures written in gold powder.
