Heading west along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway for about 70 kilometers, you can begin to traverse this canyon wonder that includes a grand canyon, an antelope valley, and a snow mountain canyon. It cuts the Kunlun Mountains into a spectacular canyon 12 meters long and dozens of meters deep. Then you will travel by vehicle through the beautiful "forbidden zone of life," Hoh Xil. Driving on the straight road to the sky, there are few people along the way, the Gobi stretches flat, snow mountains extend in the distance, and yaks and wild donkeys can be seen everywhere. This is the largest uninhabited area in the world and also a paradise for wildlife. Along the way, you will also pass Wild Donkey Beach, an area with a dense concentration of wildlife.
