First you will cross the [Gangbala Pass] at an altitude of 5,030 meters, which is also the best place to overlook Yamdrok Lake. The azure sky and lake water reflect each other, and the pure lake water shows different shades of blue in the sunlight, breathtakingly beautiful. Afterwards, you will continue along Route 219, also known as the China-India-Nepal Border Highway, for another 45 kilometers, then arrive at the magical Qilin Gorge. 【Qilin Gorge】is a renowned canyon geological landscape set in a long, deep canyon, sunken hundreds of meters below the surface. The earth forest rises like bamboo shoots, with towering boulders reaching the sky, stretching out in vast, interlocking formations or in small clusters arranged in sequence, like solemn and independent guards. At Qilin Gorge, you can personally feel the uncanny workmanship of nature and marvel at its geological wonders of "majesty, wonder, peril, and uniqueness." After lunch, you will continue along the China-India-Nepal Border Route 219 for about 30 kilometers. Along the way, you can admire one of China's most beautiful snow mountains, 【Rimanag Snow Mountain】, known locally as Renqing Snow Mountain, as well as China's largest wetland, 【Dinggyê Wetland】. Afterwards, you will follow the wetland to Dinggyê County, the kingdom of wetlands. After a short rest here, you can gaze along the Yeru Zangbo River Valley at 【Lhotse Peak, the world's fourth-highest peak】. Then you will follow the beautiful border village road to the sacred mountain 【Longren Mountain】, where you can view up close Makalu, the world's fifth-highest peak, and the East Face of Mount Everest. Here it is a "grand platter of beautiful scenery," with the golden sunrise on three 8,000-meter snow peaks — Everest (8,844 m), Lhotse (8,516 m, world's fourth), and Makalu (8,463 m, world's fifth) — as well as Chomolonzo (7,804 m), unfolding before your eyes one after another. Afterwards, you will visit the world's highest monastery, Rongbuk Monastery. 【Rongbuk Monastery】is universally recognized as the best place to look up at Mount Everest. Then you will arrive at 【Everest Base Camp】, take a photo with the altitude stone marker at Everest Base Camp, and here you will dance with the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. If you are lucky, you may also see the Everest banner cloud drifting like a flame of life. Tip: In winter, the Rongbuk Monastery camp tents are not open, so accommodation will be changed to a multi-person room at a guesthouse in Pasum Village.

Saga-Zhongba-Mount Kailash-Tarchen
Drive: 498KM Overnight altitude: 4,000 meters Attractions along the way: Mount Kailash, Lake Manasarovar, Lake Rakshastal In the morning you will set off from Saga for the sacred mountain and holy lake. The first stop is the holy lake [Lake Manasarovar]. Lake Manasarovar has the reputation of "Mother of the World's Rivers" and is the place called "Jade Pool of the Western Heaven" by the Tang dynasty monk Xuanzang in the Great Tang Records on the Western Regions. It is also one of Tibet's famous three great holy lakes and, together with Mount Kailash, is known as the "Sacred Mountain and Holy Lake." Lake Manasarovar is also currently the lake with the highest measured transparency in China, with transparency reaching 14 meters, clear and limpid. The clear lake water reflects the blue sky, vast and open. The lakeshore is surrounded by the Namnani Snow Mountains, and the lake and mountain scenery is enchanting. Separated from the holy lake by a single embankment is the barren [Lake Rakshastal], known as the Ghost Lake. It is said that the bottoms of Lake Manasarovar and Lake Rakshastal are connected, with one side being the freshwater holy lake and the other being the saltwater ghost lake. It can be said that the two together form a wonder. After lunch in Paryang at noon, you will pass the Mayum La border checkpoint to Tarchen, where you will pay homage to the sacred mountain—[Mount Kailash]. Mount Kailash, at an altitude of 6,638 meters, is called "Shiva's Paradise" in Sanskrit and means "Mountain of the Gods" in Tibetan. The body of Mount Kailash resembles a pyramid, with highly symmetrical walls. It is recognized worldwide as a sacred mountain and is regarded by Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Tibet's indigenous Bon religion, and ancient Jainism as the center of the world. The mysterious thing about the sacred mountain is that its sun-facing side, for some unknown reason, remains snow-covered year-round, white with snow; while the back side of the sacred mountain has no snow year-round, and even if covered by white snow, it melts as soon as the sun comes out, exactly opposite to the usual patterns of nature. Overnight in Tarchen.

[Songxi Village] is the last village on the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway on the Tibet side near Xinjiang. Then you will continue on, crossing the 5,248-meter-high [Jieshan Daban]. Jieshan Daban is the highest point of the Xinjiang-Tibet Highway and the highest stretch of highway in the world. The boundary between Xinjiang and Tibet is defined by it. This high mountain separates two ethnic groups: to the north are the Uyghurs, who believe in Islam, and to the south are the Tibetans, who believe in Buddhism. Once we cross here, we can appreciate another culture. The stretch of road from Jieshan Daban to Dahongliutan is the legendary "Death Valley" section. According to local legend, in 1957, a company of the PLA advance force entering Tibet from Xinjiang was wiped out overnight at [Tianshuigou] due to altitude sickness, and from then on this place, which made people pale at the mere mention of it, gradually came to be called "Death Valley." But the scenery along the way is truly spectacular, with a kind of serene beauty. After leaving [Dahongliutan], you will pass by the [Kangxiwar Martyrs' Cemetery], the highest-altitude martyrs' cemetery, where more than 100 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the 1962 Sino-Indian border counterattack are buried. After that, you will continue on to Sanshiyingfang. This section of the route is the most precipitous and complex, with snow and wind all year round. In the evening, you will stay overnight at Sanshiyingfang.
