Here you can admire ice sculptures in all shapes and forms, try your hand at making ice lanterns, and watch wonderful ice sculpture performances—it is great fun. How to Get Here 1. By plane: Harbin Taiping International Airport (HRB) is Harbin's main airport, with many direct domestic routes such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Shenzhen, as well as direct international routes such as Japan and South Korea. 2. The snow season lasts up to 7 months, and the snow can reach a depth of about 2 meters. At a glance, the mountains, trees, houses, and streets are all covered in white snow, as if you have stepped into a dreamlike winter wonderland. If you are a photography enthusiast, this morning you can take a 4WD vehicle (about 38 minutes, 280 yuan/person, at your own expense) to Yangcao Mountain to capture the most beautiful sunrise scenery of China Snow Town. As the first ray of morning light parts the dark sky, it drapes the vast white snow in an orange-yellow glow, leaving you enchanted amid the most beautiful sky. Yangcao Mountain is the highest peak in China Snow Town, with an elevation of about 1,235 meters. It is not only an excellent spot for watching the sunrise and sunset, but also the best place to photograph the magnificent and vast northern snow scenery. In addition, you may also choose to hike 1.8 kilometers (about 25 minutes) up to the Bangchui Mountain viewing platform, overlooking the magnificent panoramic view of China Snow Town and the tranquil, peaceful scenery of the village. Afterward, you will drive 180 kilometers (about 3 hours) to [Jingpo Lake], known as the "West Lake of the North," to admire the breathtaking winter wonder—the ice waterfall. Jingpo Lake is a famous volcanic lake and the largest alpine barrier lake in China and the second largest in the world, a natural wonder formed when lava from a volcanic eruption ten thousand years ago blocked the course of the Mudan River. Its crystal-clear blue waters resemble a sparkling sapphire, surrounded by steep crater walls and sixteen peaks, creating a spectacular sight. Tianchi is often shrouded in mist and clouds, with its summit covered in ice and snow, resembling a fairyland and exuding great charm. The legend of the "Tianchi Monster" adds a touch of mystery to it. After the tour, you will continue to visit Changbai Waterfall, known as "the volcanic lake waterfall with the greatest drop in the world." The waterfall plunges 68 meters, merging with the cliffs and green mountains in a magnificent display. Next, you may continue to admire the picturesque Small Tianchi, a small lake surrounded by beautiful Erman's birch forests.
