You will begin your exploration at Huacheng Square, known as the "living room of Guangzhou." This is the core landmark of Guangzhou's new central axis and the largest square in the city. Upon arrival, the first thing that catches your eye is Guangzhou's magnificent city skyline: Guangzhou International Finance Center (IFC, about 440 meters), Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre (about 530 meters, the second tallest building in Guangzhou), and in the distance, Canton Tower (about 600 meters, Guangzhou's iconic landmark and the tallest tower in China). In the evening, the square is bustling with leisurely local residents and tourists, playful children, and stylish street performers. The highlight not to be missed is the Huacheng Square light show: the colorful, flowing Canton Tower and its reflection in the Pearl River forming the "twin towers wonder," the dazzling lights of the skyscrapers in Zhujiang New Town, the musical fountain show, and the Silk Road Golden Bridge together create Guangzhou's prosperous urban nightscape.
Afterward, continue on foot to visit the Guangzhou Library. Dotted lights adorn the library's exterior walls, making the entire building blend perfectly into the city's nightscape, appearing serene and gentle. Even without going inside to read, it is a visual treat. Then, continue on foot to visit the Guangdong Museum. At night, the lights on the museum's exterior walls are illuminated layer by layer, like a glowing ark of culture. In addition, the night view of the Guangzhou Opera House is not to be missed. Its futuristic design, enhanced by colorful lighting, seems to transport you to another parallel world—truly stunning.
After the visit, you will head to the Pearl River pier to begin a pleasant Pearl River night cruise (about 1 hour). The Pearl River is one of China's most important rivers and Guangzhou's "mother river." A cruise offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Pearl River scenery. As the lights come on, the beautiful buildings and lights on both banks reflect on the river surface, creating a charming and enchanting scene. Cruising along the river, you can take in Guangzhou's modern urban landscape and historical and cultural landmarks all at once—the best way to quickly appreciate the beauty of Guangzhou.
After the cruise, you will head to Beijing Road, known as the "First Street of Lingnan" and the "Thousand-Year Commercial Avenue," to experience Guangzhou's colorful nightlife. Browse the quaint and exquisite local time-honored shops and international brand stores, and taste authentic Cantonese delicacies and snacks: steaming oyster omelets, fragrant and rich claypot rice, tender and flavorful beef offal, and various Cantonese snacks... In addition, the Dafo Temple hidden on Beijing Road, illuminated by night lights, resembles the "Spirited Away bathhouse" and is truly majestic.
