By Train: Xi'an has a well-developed rail transit system. After breakfast, you will visit the time-honored Xi'an Ancient City Wall. 【Xi'an Ancient City Wall】 was first built in the Ming Dynasty, also known as the Xi'an Ming City Wall, and is one of the largest and best-preserved ancient city walls in China. You can climb onto the wall, walk on the historic gray bricks, and feel the charm of the ancient city wall, or take a bicycle ride to enjoy the superb scenery formed by the ancient city wall and the modern cityscape together. After touring the ancient city wall, head to 【Visit a Local Family in Xi'an】 to learn about Xi'an's food culture and learn to make some local Xi'an specialties, such as dumplings, roujiamo, biangbiang noodles, and more. After lunch, drive about 50 kilometers (1 hour) to visit the Terracotta Army, one of the "Eighth Wonders of the World." The 【Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum】 is a heritage museum built on the original site of the terracotta pits and is also China's largest ancient military museum. Accompanied by your professional guide's vivid commentary, you will visit Pits No. 1, 2, and 3 in sequence, learning about the historical background and craftsmanship of the Terracotta Army, as well as the little-known stories behind these thousand-year-old clay figures buried in the long river of history. After breakfast, you will drive to visit the Xi'an Museum (closed on Tuesdays). [Xi'an Museum] consists of three parts: the museum, the Tang Dynasty Jianfu Temple site, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Here you can follow the guide's explanations to gain an in-depth understanding of the history of Xi'an's changes as a capital over thousands of years and stories of the old imperial city, and also admire the main building designed by the famous architect Zhang Jinqiu using the traditional Chinese cosmological view (round heaven and square earth). Before entering the museum, you can also visit the Tang Dynasty royal temple - Jianfu Temple - and the World Cultural Heritage site - Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Afterwards, you will visit Xi'an's famous cultural landmark - Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. [Giant Wild Goose Pagoda] is located inside Daci'en Temple and is the earliest existing and largest Tang Dynasty square pavilion-style brick pagoda, with seven stories and a height of about 64 meters. Here you can admire the ancient architectural style, view the scriptures and Buddha statues brought back from Tianzhu by Master Xuanzang that are collected in the pagoda, and also climb this thousand-year-old pagoda to look out over the city scenery of Xi'an. After breakfast, you will drive to visit Han Yang Ling and the Han Yang Ling Museum, about 20 kilometers from Xi'an Airport. 【Han Yang Ling】 is the joint burial mausoleum of Emperor Jing of Han, Liu Qi, and his empress, and is one of China's largest and best-preserved Han dynasty tombs. Here, following your guide's commentary, you can learn about the prosperity of the "Rule of Wen and Jing," walk on the glass floor over the archaeological site, view various precious artifacts, and learn about the burial system of the Western Han dynasty. 【Han Yang Ling Museum】 mainly consists of the emperor's mausoleum park, the empress's mausoleum park, accompanying burial pits, and ritual buildings. Here you can see various precious pottery figurine artifacts, such as animals, warriors, and court ladies. Although these figurines are only about one-third the size of real people or animals, their appearance is highly realistic and remarkably true to life.
