Kunming Airport → Hotel Check-in → Free Time

Kunming → Dali - The Lake Day
High-Speed Train → Santorini Ideabang → Erhai Lake → Shuanglang Ancient Town → Jinsuo Island
Take a bullet train to Dali (around 2 hours; booking is handled, send passport details in advance). First stop: Santorini Ideabang, which embraces its Mediterranean inspiration. The white-and-blue buildings against the mountain backdrop are notable.
Then visit Erhai Lake, a large mirror-like lake surrounded by villages.
Shuanglang Ancient Town sits on the lake. Jinsuo Island (ferry included) is a small island in the middle of Erhai with generations of local residents.
Tonight stay in a lakeside hotel with Erhai views. Most rooms offer lake views (arranged subject to availability).

Dali → Shaxi → Baisha → Lijiang - Three Ancient Towns, Three Different Vibes
Shaxi Ancient Town → Baisha Ancient Town → Lijiang Old Town
Today visit three ancient towns, each with its own character. They are all different and not tourist traps selling the same jade bracelet.
Shaxi Ancient Town is the quieter, artsy cousin of the famous ancient towns. Cobblestone streets, tea houses, and cafes.
Baisha Ancient Town is older and less polished. The Naxi people have lived here for centuries, and the atmosphere is more living history than open-air museum.
By evening, arrive at Lijiang Old Town, one of China's most famous ancient towns. It is touristy but still worth it. The night scene is lively with lanterns, canals, and bars.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain - The Main Event
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain → Glacier Park Cable Car → Blue Moon Valley → Shuhe Ancient Town
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山) has peaks that stay snow-capped year-round. The cable car takes you up to Glacier Park at 4,506 meters (14,783 feet).
Altitude Alert: At 4,506m, the air is thin. Oxygen canisters are available at the base (around 30-50 CNY, or buy cheaper at Lijiang Old Town pharmacies for 10-15 CNY before heading up). If you have never been above 3,000m, purchase one. It is cold up there, so bring a jacket (or rent one at the base).
Blue Moon Valley sits at the mountain's foot, and the water is blue from glacier melt.
On the way back, stop at Shuhe Ancient Town, Lijiang's quieter sibling. Less crowded, same charm.

Lijiang → Kunming → Safe Travels
Free Morning → High-Speed Train to Kunming → Airport Drop-off
Last morning in Lijiang. Sleep in, grab breakfast, do last-minute souvenir shopping in the old town, or enjoy a leisurely coffee.
Transfer to the train station for the ride back to Kunming (around 3.5 hours). Upon arrival, drop-off at the airport based on flight time. Recommended: arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before international flights, 1.5 hours for domestic.
