Chengdu is known as 'land of abundance in midwest China'. Its most famous attractions are:
· Dujiangyan Panda Base - offers the best panda volunteer program: participants can learn more about, look after, and take pictures with pandas
· Dujiangyan Irrigation Project - This water system is an amazing feat of engineering and construction, a wonder of the ancient world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
· Qingcheng Mountain - A famous Taoist mountain, and World Heritage, it is one of the places where Taoism originated.
