Kanas is located in Altay Prefecture, the northernmost tip of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The top hiking route from Jaden Valley to Kanas Lake is a popular one.
Along the path, you can see beautiful Kanas River, quiet Hemu River, misty Hemu Village, mysterious Black Lake, and finally colorful Kanas Lake.
The whole distance is 78 kilometers (48 miles) on foot. The hiking isn't difficult, but it takes a long time to finish the trek.
