Easier attraction ticket reservations: many places scrap reservations, popular attractions optimize timed-entry booking
In recent years, scenic areas in many parts of the country have successively canceled real-name reservations, allowing visitors to buy tickets on site and enter; at the same time, some popular scenic areas have retained and optimized timed reservations, balancing visitor flow management with the touring experience.
"Having to scramble for a reservation before visiting an attraction" used to be a headache for many tourists. In recent years, a quiet but far-reaching adjustment has been making visiting scenic spots simple again.
Scenic areas in many places scrap real-name reservations
To make visiting more convenient, many cities across the country have successively scrapped the real-name reservation requirement for scenic areas, allowing visitors to buy tickets on site and enter whenever they arrive:
- Beijing: Except for a few popular scenic areas, most scenic areas citywide have fully scrapped the reservation requirement, including widely popular destinations such as Temple of Heaven Park, Jingshan Park, Beihai Park, the Summer Palace, and Yuanmingyuan;
- Wuhan: Multiple A-level tourist attractions have fully canceled entry reservations;
- Nanjing: Except for some popular scenic areas, A-level tourist attractions are no longer uniformly required to implement real-name reservations;
- Changsha: Dozens of A-level tourist attractions across the city have canceled real-name reservations as long as the maximum carrying capacity is not exceeded;
- Suzhou, Shanghaiand other sites: apart from a few key, popular scenic areas, real-name reservations have been canceled at other scenic areas.
Popular scenic areas retain and optimize reservations
For popular venues under greater carrying pressure, the reservation system is still retained, but with more emphasis on optimizing the experience through "time-slot and staggered visits": some scenic areas implement "real-name reservations and time-slot visits," using quotas to guide visitors in reasonably arranging their arrival times, which both ensures visiting comfort and takes into account cultural relic protection and safety management.
Reservation channels are increasingly clear
Online reservations have become the mainstream method, and visitors can make advance reservations and enter the park in time slots through the scenic area's official mini-program or platform. Understanding the reservation rules of the destination and making arrangements in advance can effectively avoid the inconvenience caused by on-site queuing and visitor caps.

Travelers planning a visit can confirm in advance whether the destination scenic area requires a reservation, the reservation channels, and opening hours; for scenic areas that have canceled reservations, they can simply go directly, making itinerary arrangements more flexible.
