Arrive in Lhasa: Airport/Train Station Pickup + Hotel Check-in
The moment you arrive in Lhasa, the entire journey begins at a relaxed pace. Considering the special nature of the high-altitude environment, we have thoughtfully arranged ample time for you to gradually adapt to the altitude, avoiding discomfort caused by rushing, and allowing your body to meet this land gently and comfortably. 【Warm Tips】 Free airport/station pickup service is provided (5-9 seats): after tourists arrive, a driver will pick them up and take them to the hotel; travel agency staff will inform you in advance of the hotel check-in method, so please check in by yourself. If you have not received notice, please contact the travel agency staff promptly (see the tour departure notice) so they can provide timely assistance. The driver will notify you by phone or text before 22:00 of the meeting time for the next day's departure. Altitude sickness: On the day of arrival in Lhasa, do not do strenuous exercise, and do not take a shower that night to prevent catching a cold. Do not drink alcohol. Drink more water and eat fruit; do not overeat. Rest more. You may bring American ginseng lozenges or health supplements such as rhodiola and Gaoyuan'an to relieve altitude sickness. Try not to go out for activities. Maintaining a calm mindset and getting sufficient rest is the best way to prevent altitude sickness. If you feel unwell, seek treatment at a hospital promptly.

Lhasa → Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon → Nyingchi
Depart from Lhasa and head to the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon to take in its breathtaking scenery, then continue to Nyingchi to experience its distinctive charm. [Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon · Magnificent] Follow the Nyang River eastward all the way, and you will reach the "deepest rift on Earth"—the [Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon]. Enter the canyon in spring, and the fresh scent of vegetation drifts into the car window, peach blossoms spill over the cliffs, and petals blow inside with the wind. The river surges with snowmelt. Raise your camera to photograph Namcha Barwa, often veiled by clouds and mist. Occasionally sunlight slips through, and the "Shy Maiden Peak" reveals half her face—quickly capture this shyness. In midsummer, you arrive to find yourself wrapped in dense green. Escape the heat at the viewing platform, watch waterfalls cascade, and feel the mist splash your face; turn your head and you may see a rainbow hanging over the forest sea. Listen to the symphony of prayer flags and river waters. If Namcha Barwa appears, quickly frame it together with yourself. In autumn, the canyon is like a palette. Peering out the car window, red maples sweep past, the river looks like silk, and golden farmland dazzles the eyes. Wait at the viewing platform for the setting sun to gild the snow peaks. Keep pressing the shutter—every shot is a masterpiece. Enter the canyon in winter, and a cold wind brushes your face. The snow mountains dazzle, chunks of ice in the river collide with loud cracks, and splashes freeze as soon as they hit the railing. On clear days, Namcha Barwa shows itself completely. Open your arms for a photo as the prayer flags rustle, as if applauding the encounter.

Nyingchi → Basum Lake → Lhasa
[Basum Lake · Lake Mirror] Basum Lake is the largest freshwater lake in eastern Tibet. Its shape is like a crescent moon inlaid in high mountains and valleys. The lake water is so clear you can see the bottom, and it contrasts beautifully with the snow mountains. There is a small island in the lake, on which stands Cuosong Temple (Cuozong Gongba Temple), built at the end of the Tang dynasty. The main hall enshrines Guru Padmasambhava, Thousand-Hand Guanyin, and the Golden Boy and Jade Girl, among others. Stepping into the Basum Lake scenic area is like walking into a landscape painting. The lake water is emerald green like a gem, sparkling under the sunlight. Ascending to the island in the center of the lake, the thousand-year-old Cuozong Gongba Temple is solemn and majestic, carrying profound historical culture. One specialty meal is gifted on the day (can be arranged at noon or in the evening): stone pot chicken (using local Tibetan chicken as the main ingredient, paired with hand ginseng, matsutake, and other highland mushrooms, slowly stewed in a unique Motuo soapstone pot; the broth is rich and fragrant, the meat firm, fully showing the authentic flavor of snow-region ingredients)

Lhasa City Day Tour: Potala Palace + Chakpori + Tibetan Culture Experience + Barkhor Street
[Potala Palace · Holy Sanctuary] When sunlight falls on the Potala Palace, this palace complex, the highest in the world, reveals its solemn and sacred appearance. Walking slowly up the steps, with your fingertips brushing the red walls that have endured for thousands of years, it feels as if you can touch the pulse of history. Inside the palace, exquisitely beautiful murals tell of the rise and fall of the Tubo Dynasty, and precious cultural relics give off a warm luster under the glow of butter lamps. Standing at the top of the palace and looking down, the whole of Lhasa comes into view, with distant snow mountains and nearby residences complementing each other, leaving one enchanted by the weight of history and the vividness of reality. [Chakpori Hill Viewing Platform · Photography] The nearby Chakpori Hill Viewing Platform is the best place to photograph a panoramic view of the Potala Palace. Here you can capture the same angle as on the 50-yuan RMB note. [Tibetan Culture Experience and Barkhor Street · Pulse of Faith] Now that you are in Lhasa, you can still experience traditional Tibetan handicrafts (Tibetan incense making). Head to the Tibetan Culture Experience Hall to learn how refreshing Tibetan incense is made, and you can also take part in making it yourself, which is entirely different in meaning from buying Tibetan incense. Then step into the lively Barkhor Street. This circular street is Lhasa's oldest commercial street and also an important route for pilgrims to walk around while spinning prayer wheels. On both sides of the street, Tibetan-style residences and various shops are arranged in an orderly yet varied way. Prayer wheels turn continuously under the hands of the faithful, making crisp sounds. Strolling through it, you can choose distinctive Tibetan handicrafts, taste sweet butter tea and soft Tibetan pastries, and also see Tibetan people in traditional clothing, experiencing the rich Tibetan atmosphere. One specialty meal is included that day (which can be arranged at noon or in the evening): Tibetan cuisine or Nepalese cuisine, to experience the local flavor.

On the morning of leaving Lhasa, depart from the hotel for the airport or train station. Take one last look at the outline of the Potala Palace stretching in the morning light, and listen as the hum of prayer wheels at the street corner fades into the distance. Your luggage holds fragments of prayer flags and the lingering warmth of butter tea, while the Tibetan scenery outside the window slowly recedes. Upon arriving at the hub, you turn to bid farewell to this plateau. As the plane climbs or the train starts, your heart is already full of memories of snow mountains, monasteries, and faith, and with the dust of travel upon you, you head home. 【Warm Tips】 Free station/airport drop-off service is provided (5-9 seats): please provide the travel agency with your outbound flight itinerary or train ticket order in advance so that free station/airport drop-off service can be arranged.
