Welcome to Chengdu, the hometown of giant pandas. Our driver will greet you at the airport/train station exit and escort you to the hotel for check-in and rest. You can arrange the remaining time freely. If you are tired, you can rest at the hotel to relieve travel fatigue. By plane: Chengdu has two airports - Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) and Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU), with many domestic direct flights, such as Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Guilin, Hangzhou, Kunming, Lhasa, Chongqing, Wuhan, Guiyang, Xiamen, etc., as well as international direct flights, such as Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Japan, etc., making transportation very convenient. 2. By train: Chengdu has 4 train stations in total. You can take high-speed rail to Chengdu from cities such as Beijing (7-11 hours), Xi'an (3-4 hours), Chongqing (1.5-2 hours), Shanghai (12.5-14.5 hours), Kunming (6-6.5 hours), and Guiyang (3.5-4.5 hours). Recommended evening activities (optional) 1. Sichuan opera performance: Some teahouses or dedicated performance venues in Chengdu offer wonderful Sichuan opera performances, including face-changing, fire-spitting, shadow puppetry, puppet shows, dance, singing, and acrobatics. The performances usually run from 20:00 to 21:30. You can enjoy them while sipping tea and experience the rich cultural atmosphere of Chengdu. 2. Jinjiang night cruise: A night cruise on the Jinjiang River is a highlight of Chengdu's evening activities. The cruise usually runs from 18:00 to 23:30 and lasts about 30 minutes. You can enjoy the night view of downtown Chengdu and feel the beauty of the brilliantly lit banks of the Jinjiang River complementing the ancient-style architecture.

Altitude: 500 meters ~ 4298 meters ~ 2600 meters Distance: about 400 kilometers, drive time about 7 hours After breakfast, you will depart from Chengdu to begin your Western Sichuan journey. First, you will pass through Ya'an, named the "Rain City" because of its frequent rain, then take the Ya'kang Expressway (G4218), pass through the Erlang Mountain Tunnel (known for "one mountain, two landscapes" and a landmark project of the Sichuan-Tibet route), and arrive in Kangding, the capital city of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, famous for being the "throat of Sichuan-Tibet and an important town on the Tea Horse Ancient Road" and the birthplace of the "Kangding Love Song." After passing Kangding, you will reach Zheduo Mountain Pass, the first pass on the Sichuan-Tibet route with an altitude above 4000 meters. [Zheduo Mountain Pass] is about 4298 meters above sea level and is known as the "First Pass of Kham." You will stop here for a while, and you can go to the pass viewing platform to enjoy magnificent sights such as colorful prayer flags, sea of clouds, Mount Gongga, and the winding mountain road with nine turns and eighteen bends. Then, cross the pass and officially enter the Kham Tibetan area. Continue by vehicle to Xinduqiao (altitude about 3460 meters) in the western part of Kangding City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. [Xinduqiao] is a photography holy land on the Western Sichuan Plateau, famous for its magical light and shadow and the changing colors of the four seasons, and is hailed as "a photographer's paradise." The plateau light and cloud shadows interweave among meadows and streams, forming a dreamlike world of light and shadow. Among them, the golden poplars in autumn are the iconic landscape of Xinduqiao, forming a magnificent natural picture with exquisite Tibetan villages and the distant view of Mount Gongga... After enjoying the picturesque Xinduqiao, you will head to Yajiang County to check into a hotel and rest. Tips 1. Depending on visiting time and road conditions, we will choose one of two roads: S434 Airport Road (Honghaizi) or G318 (Zheduo Mountain). 2. It is recommended not to take a bath in the first 3 days on the plateau as much as possible, to avoid catching a cold and triggering altitude sickness, which may affect the entire itinerary. 3. Water and electricity supply in Tibetan areas is insufficient, and there may occasionally be water or power outages. Please bring your own wet wipes and flashlight. In addition, the water temperature during bathing may be unstable, or water may be cut off during bathing, so please bathe as quickly as possible, preferably after you have fully adapted to the Tibetan area.

Altitude: 2,600 m ~ 4,014 m ~ 3,700 m Distance: about 290 km, driving time about 6 hours After breakfast, you will depart from Yajiang for Litang. Along the way, you can admire the steep and magnificent scenery of the "Eighteen Bends of the Heavenly Road," pass through the "Jianziwan Tunnel," then cross "Kazila Mountain" (pass at about 4,713 m), and finally arrive in Ding Zhen's hometown, Litang. This is one of the highest cities in the world and is known as the "City in the Sky," where the clouds are within reach, snow mountains embrace the grasslands, and colorful prayer flags flutter in the wind, creating a stunning scene. The Sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso once expressed his longing for Litang in poetry, giving it the name "City of Tsangyang Gyatso's Poetry." After that, you will visit [Letong Ancient Town], which appeared in the promotional film "Ding Zhen's World." This is the largest traditional Tibetan village complex in the world, with more than 4,000 traditional Tibetan houses, known as the "Thousand-Household Tibetan Village," and is the best choice for exploring Tibetan culture and experiencing Kham customs. Here, following the scenic area guide's explanations, you can visit in turn: the 318 Memory Museum, the Kham People Micro Museum, Renkang Ancient House (where thirteen highly respected living Buddhas were born), and the Tsangyang Gyatso Museum. If you are lucky, you may even run into Ding Zhen. Then, visit [Changqingchun Ke'er Monastery], the oldest and largest Gelug Buddhist monastery in the Kham region, and listen to its legendary stories. It is also the largest Gelug monastery in southern Kham, with rich collections including Buddhist scriptures, gilded Buddha statues, murals, saddles, and other precious historical and cultural items, as well as butter sculptures known as "the finest in Kham." Please note: due to important religious ceremonies or other reasons, the monastery may sometimes not be open to all tourists or foreign tourists. In such cases, we kindly ask for your understanding. After the visit, you will continue onward, crossing the vast and boundless Wuqian River, climbing over "Rabbit Mountain" (pass at about 4,696 m), which resembles a rabbit, and passing the largest ancient glacier relic on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Daocheng Haizishan Ancient Ice Cap. It is located in the Haizishan Nature Reserve at an altitude of about 4,500 m. Haizishan has a unique "glacial lake group" landscape, with 1,145 glacier lakes of various sizes scattered like brilliant diamonds among the jagged sea of rocks, forming the wild wonder of the "mountain of a thousand lakes." Afterward, you will pass through Sangdui Town. If it happens to be golden autumn, you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the "Sangdui Red Grassland," where the wetland grasses are as red as flames, complementing the surrounding golden poplars, blue streams, and distant snow peaks, like a brilliant colorful plateau oil painting with a powerful visual impact. As you approach the holy "White Stupa," Daocheng will be right before your eyes. Daocheng White Stupa, also known as "Dorzhi Drakar Stupa Forest," is the largest white stupa in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, a landmark sight upon entering Daocheng, and one of the iconic cultural landmarks of the Tibetan region. Its main stupa is 37 meters high, round on top and square below, entirely white, with a pure gilded top and decorated with hundreds of animal reliefs and 512 brass prayer wheels, surrounded by 119 smaller stupas, forming a spectacular stupa forest. You can take a panorama from directly in front of the white stupa, which is especially sacred under the evening sunset. Tonight, you will stay overnight in Daocheng County. Tips 1. Today's itinerary will go to high-altitude areas, and we will cross four mountains over 4,000 meters. To prevent altitude sickness, our company provides portable oxygen bottles for emergencies. 2. The Sangdui Red Grassland is seasonal and cannot be seen year-round. Its peak season is only about two weeks from late September to late October each year.

Altitude: 3,700 meters ~ 4,100 meters ~ 3,900 meters Distance: about 80 kilometers, about 2-2.5 hours by car This morning, you will drive about 2-2.5 hours (about 80 kilometers) from Daocheng County to the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area. Daocheng Yading is a highly representative plateau natural and cultural landscape in southwestern China, famous for its ultimate fusion of "three sacred mountains, plateau lake wonders, and Tibetan culture." It is known as "the last pure land on the blue planet" and "the soul of Shangri-La in China," a fascinating earthly paradise. Today's Daocheng Yading itinerary: Visitor Center → Scenic Area Sightseeing Bus (about 1 hour, with a stop at Yading Village along the way) → Zhaguanbeng (the terminal station of the scenic area sightseeing bus and the starting point for hiking to Chonggu Temple and Pearl Lake, with a distant view of Mount Xianuoduoji) → Hike 0.5 km → Chonggu Temple (located at the source of a stream at the foot of Mount Xiannairi, hailed as the "gate to the Shangri-La fairyland," and also called the "Gate of Heaven" because it backs onto the sacred Mount Xiannairi and faces Chonggu Meadow and the Yading Canyon; here you can admire the Gelug school yellow sect temple architecture of Tibetan Buddhism and enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Xiannairi) → Hike 1.5 km → Pearl Lake (also known as "Zhuomala Tso," located at the foot of Mount Xiannairi, it is the lowest-altitude sacred lake in the Yading Scenic Area and the best spot to view snow mountain reflections, allowing a close view of the beautiful Mount Xiannairi) → Return along the same route to Yading Village. This hiking route from Zhaguanbeng to Pearl Lake is about 3 kilometers round trip and takes about 2-3 hours. The entire route is metal boardwalk or stone-paved paths with gentle slopes, suitable for most tourists. Please note: the section from Chonggu Temple to Pearl Lake rises from 3,900 meters to 4,100 meters, so be mindful of altitude sickness. After the tour, return to Yading Village for check-in. On clear days, you can enjoy the brilliant "plateau starry sky" in the evening. Practical tips for Daocheng Yading 1. Today we will transfer to the scenic area sightseeing bus to go to the Yading Scenic Area. Our vehicle and driver cannot enter the scenic area with team members. Tonight we will stay overnight in Yading Village. The local weather is unpredictable, so it is recommended that team members leave their suitcases in the car and bring a small backpack (containing necessary toiletries, warm clothing, valuables, rain gear, etc.) into the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area. 2. The accommodation conditions in Yading Village are relatively simple, and the facilities are also basic, as they are converted from local residences. Therefore, please be mentally prepared, but you can better experience the simple local customs. Please note: seasonal water and power outages are unavoidable, so please prepare a flashlight and portable toiletries in advance. 3. There are a limited number of dedicated restaurants in the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area. Team members can dine at their accommodation or at the Luorong Pasture Restaurant in the scenic area. However, since all supplies must be transported from outside the scenic area, it is recommended to prepare adequately in advance. During National Day and autumn, traffic congestion or long waiting times may occur in the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area, and arrival at dining spots may be delayed. It is recommended to bring some snacks and chocolate to replenish energy. 4. On the hike to Pearl Lake, you will encounter many small animals. Please do not tease or provoke them to avoid accidental injury.

Altitude: 3900 meters ~ 4600 meters ~ 2900 meters Distance: about 120 kilometers, drive time about 3.5 hours After breakfast, you will go from Yading Village to the visitor center, then take the sightseeing bus to Zhaguanbeng, about 1~1.5 hours. After that, set off from Zhaguanbeng and hike for 2~2.5 hours, passing Chonggu Temple (altitude about 3900 meters), and arrive at Luorong Pasture (altitude about 4180 meters). If you want to save energy, you can also choose to walk for 20 minutes to Chonggu Temple, then take a 30-minute battery car to Luorong Pasture. Luorong Pasture is a traditional pasture for Tibetans. You can stroll leisurely among it and enjoy natural beauty such as herds of cattle and sheep, blooming wildflowers, alpine forests, and clear streams, enjoying a peaceful and healing moment away from the noise of the city. The three sacred snow mountains Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji surround the pasture in a triangular "pin"-shaped arrangement. Among them, Xianuoduoji Peak is sharp like a warrior, Yangmaiyong is like a pure and noble fairy, and Xiannairi is like a seated Buddha. The scenery is very spectacular. From the pasture boardwalk or viewing platform, you can view the panorama of all three mountains at the same time. Because Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake are at higher altitudes, you can choose whether to continue the next 5-kilometer hike according to your own condition. It takes about 3~3.5 hours to reach the fairyland-like Milk Lake (altitude about 4600 meters; if you are interested, you can also pay to ride a horse to Milk Lake). Milk Lake is a turquoise lake formed by glacial meltwater, embedded among snow mountains like a gem, surrounded by milky white calcium shoals like silk, like blue tears dropped to the human world by a sacred mountain, and is known as the "Sea of Heaven." On sunny days, the lake surface shows a gradient of blue and green, while on cloudy days it appears even deeper. After that, continue walking for about 30 minutes to Five-Color Lake (altitude about 4500 meters), only 300 meters away. Due to minerals and light refraction, Five-Color Lake presents colors such as turquoise, dark green, and golden yellow on its surface, and is called "nature's palette." It overlaps with reflections of sacred mountains such as Yangmaiyong and Xiannairi, holy and mysterious. After visiting the Daocheng Yading scenic area, take the sightseeing bus to leave the scenic area. Meet at the Daocheng Yading Visitor Center at around 16:00 and drive to Daocheng County for the night. Daocheng Yading travel tips 1. There are five sightseeing bus stops from Chonggu Temple to Luorong Pasture: the starting point (Chonggu Temple Station), the first stop (Qianfoshan Station), the second stop (Shengshuihu Station), the third stop (Yangmaiyong Station), and the terminal (Luorong Pasture Station). The round-trip fare is 70 yuan/person, and the one-way fare is 40 yuan/person. The fare between each stop is 10 yuan/person (hiking is optional; guests may choose at their own expense; if fares change, the official announcement shall prevail). 2. Disclaimer: Five-Color Lake and Milk Lake are not included in the travel agency's regular itinerary. If you need to visit the above two attractions, the expenses and safety shall be borne by you, and the risks shall be borne by you. 3. There are two ways from Luorong Pasture to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake: one is hiking along the horse trail, about 5~6 hours round trip, with a distance of about 10 kilometers; the other is horseback riding, which takes about 3 hours uphill (horse riding fee is self-paid, 300 yuan per person one way; the horse caravan travels a total of 3.5 kilometers from Luorong Pasture to the destination). Please pay attention to safety when riding, and ensure the horse is led by a groom. From the end of the horse caravan route to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake, there is a 1.8-kilometer hiking section. The road is relatively rugged and requires high physical fitness from visitors. In addition, the area has a high altitude, low temperature, and strong mountain winds, so please bring sufficient warm clothing. 4. Regarding visitor flow control in the Daocheng Yading scenic area: to avoid excessive crowds, the maximum capacity of the Daocheng Yading scenic area is 15,000 people. We will book Daocheng Yading scenic area tickets for you in advance. If there are too many reservations during peak season, causing you to be unable to visit Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake, we will adjust the itinerary according to the actual situation.

Today's itinerary is relatively leisurely. After enjoying a relaxed breakfast, you will depart from Daocheng County for Xinduqiao, with endless scenery along the way. From Daocheng to Litang: the route concentrates the ultimate scenery of the Hengduan Mountains, with green meadows stretching under the azure sky, turning golden in autumn, snow peaks covered in snow all year round standing on the horizon, glacier lakes sparkling like diamonds, and black yaks and Tibetan pastoral tents dotting the meadows, like a heavenly road painting. From Litang to Yajiang: the route fully displays the magnificence of the western Sichuan plateau, crossing green/golden grasslands, climbing the cloud-shrouded winding heavenly road, overlooking the steep and deep gorges of the Yalong River Canyon, and enjoying colorful prayer flags, exquisite Tibetan villages, and holy snow mountains interwoven in light and shadow, like a flowing Tibetan corridor painting. From Yajiang to Xinduqiao: the scenery along the way is charming, passing through winding mountain roads, gazing at the magnificent interplay of continuous snow peaks and seas of clouds, with colorful prayer flags fluttering, herds of yaks roaming, and exquisite Tibetan villages scattered along the way... Finally arriving at Xinduqiao, a stunning picture formed by golden poplar forests, winding streams, and magical light and shadow, known as the "Photographers' Corridor." After arriving in Xinduqiao, you can once again visit this tourist destination known as "a paradise for light and shadow photography." The scenery is most beautiful in golden autumn: golden poplar forests, winding streams, and scattered Tibetan villages interweave under the plateau sun, with distant snow mountains as the backdrop and prayer flags dancing, forming a natural oil-painting-like Tibetan pastoral idyll. Tonight, you will stay overnight in Xinduqiao.

After breakfast, drive from Xinduqiao to Tagong, enjoying the charming scenery of western Sichuan along the way and appreciating the sacred beauty of the "place the Bodhisattva loves." Upon arriving in Tagong, first visit Tagong Temple, hailed as the "millennium holy site of Kham." Tagong Temple is a famous temple of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism, known as the "Little Jokhang Temple," with a history of about a thousand years. The tranquil Tagong Temple appears even more resplendent against the backdrop of snow mountains and grasslands. You can step into the temple to see various thangka paintings, Tibetan reliefs, and painted sculptures, and also gain a deeper understanding of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Afterward, leisurely stroll across the vast Tagong Grassland and enjoy the stunning scenery where green grass meets the sky, snow mountains reflect golden roofs, cattle and sheep dot the green carpet, and prayer flags chant sutras in harmony with the sky. Tagong Grassland is the most famous grassland in Garze Prefecture, with flat terrain, lush water and grass, and herds of cattle and sheep. In the distance, the sacred Yala Snow Mountain (elevation about 5,820 meters) and the Muya Golden Pagoda form a beautiful plateau scene, and from Tagong Grassland, Yala Snow Mountain resembles a lotus throne or a seated Buddha, very sacred. If you are interested, you can rent a horse to easily and joyfully explore the grassland scenery and feel the freedom of riding, or visit a local herdsman's home to briefly experience the life of a herdsman. After the tour, leave Tagong and head to Danba (about 111 kilometers, about 2-2.5 hours by car). Danba is known as the "Kingdom of a Thousand Watchtowers" and was once rated by China National Geographic as one of the "Six Most Beautiful Rural Ancient Towns in China." It is famous for the three-dimensional landscape formed by Jiarong Tibetan village watchtower groups, pear blossom seas, and white snow mountains, making it one of the must-visit destinations in western Sichuan. In Danba, you can visit Suopo Township, known as the "Hometown of a Thousand Watchtowers." This is the most concentrated ancient watchtower group in Danba and a living fossil of the thousand-year architectural art of the Jiarong Tibetans. Eighty-four ancient watchtowers are scattered among the valleys and cliffs of Suopo Township. Viewed from a distance, they resemble a "code of the earth," forming a magnificent picture with Tibetan villages and green mountains. Among them, the pentagonal tower, octagonal tower, and thirteen-sided tower are rare in the world and particularly unique. It is said that the more sides a tower has, the higher the status of its owner. Then, drive to Zhonglu Tibetan Village in Danba for check-in and rest.

After breakfast, you can leisurely explore Zhonglu Tibetan Village. [Zhonglu Tibetan Village] is located in the northeast of Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, backed by Riba Longshan and facing Moerduo Sacred Mountain. In Tibetan, it means "a place where people and gods yearn for." Red, white, and black Tibetan houses are scattered in a staggered layout, dotted with golden-roofed temples, forming a sharp contrast with the blue sky and green trees, rich in color yet harmonious and unified. In spring, Zhonglu Tibetan Village is like a fairyland. The thousand-year-old watchtowers and pear blossoms all over the mountains form a pastoral scenery like a paradise, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. In autumn, the colorful forests are gorgeous, with golden fallen leaves and red and white Tibetan dwellings complementing each other. When sunlight falls, the fields seem gilded, and the watchtowers appear even more majestic. In addition, Zhonglu Tibetan Village still retains its original ecological style. Here, you can enjoy a quieter Tibetan style and appreciate the most primitive Tibetan landscape of Western Sichuan. After the visit, leave Danba and head to Siguniang Mountain Town, known as the "gateway to Siguniang Mountain." The total distance is about 105 kilometers, and the drive takes about 2.5 hours.

After breakfast, head to Changping Valley (altitude about 3,300~3,700 m), one of China's top 10 classic hiking routes. It is one of the "three valleys" of the Siguniang Mountain scenic area, with a total length of about 29 kilometers, offering dedicated sightseeing buses, hiking trails, boardwalks, and horseback riding routes, providing an excellent sightseeing experience and allowing you to fully enjoy the essence of Siguniang Mountain's pristine ecology and ethnic customs. Recommended hiking route for today: take the sightseeing bus at the entrance of Changping Valley → Lama Temple (starting point of the hike, ruins of a Tibetan-style temple, a classic photo spot with snow mountains in the same frame) → Tangbai Ancient Road (primitive forest boardwalk section, famous for its ancient cypress groves and remains of the Tea Horse Road) → Dead Tree Shoal (calcified dead tree clusters and stream scenery, especially unique in winter snow, connecting to Chongchongjiao Waterfall, sea buckthorn forest, and other sights) → Lower Ganhaizi (now a mountaineering base camp and yak and sheep pasture, where you can enjoy snow mountain reflections and plateau wetland scenery) → Upper Ganhaizi (remains of plateau meadow lakes, with close views of the granite cone of Pomiu Peak along the way) → Red Stone Shoal (unique red granite clusters, where you can photograph scenes of "red stones against snow" and "blue water rushing over stones") → Muluozi (an excellent snow mountain viewing platform facing Yaomei Peak directly and surrounded by Pomiu Peak and Camel Peak). The round trip takes about 6 to 8 hours. Finally, take the sightseeing bus out of the valley. Optional leisure tour at Siguniang Mountain If you want to enjoy the magnificent snow mountains and canyon scenery of Siguniang Mountain but do not want to do an in-depth hike, you can go to Shuangqiao Valley and take the sightseeing bus to easily explore the picturesque scenery of Siguniang Mountain. Shuangqiao Valley (altitude about 2,900 m~3,840 m) is about 7 kilometers from Siguniangshan Town. It is the most fully developed valley with the most concentrated scenery in the Siguniang Mountain scenic area, with a total length of about 40 kilometers. It mainly features natural landscapes such as snow mountain groups, alpine lakes, and primitive forests, and is known as the "visual calling card of Siguniang Mountain." The entire route can be toured by sightseeing bus, making sightseeing very easy. Because the redwood forests, meadows, and snow mountains resemble Switzerland, it is also called "China's little Switzerland" and is a paradise for photography lovers. You can take the scenic area sightseeing bus directly to Redwood Forest (altitude 3,840 m), where the conifers are golden in autumn and covered with snow in winter, surrounded on three sides by pyramid-shaped snow peaks, forming a magnificent snow mountain forest landscape. On the way back, the sightseeing bus will take you past Potala Peak, named for its resemblance to the Potala Palace. At its foot are holy prayer flags, a white stupa, and charming flower meadows, very suitable for photographing Tibetan cultural scenes, snow mountain reflections, and road-trip shots; the road and the shallows beside it are the best shooting locations. Along the way, you can get off at sightseeing bus stops and hike to visit Nianyu Dam (a gentle drifting section in summer, becoming a blue ice riverbed after freezing in winter, with charming meadows along the riverbank), Siguniang Lake (lake reflecting snow mountains, uniquely shaped dead trees, where you can capture magical light and shadow), and Bonsai Shoal (composed of small lake groups and calcified shoals), among other amazing natural sights, and immerse yourself in the natural painting woven from snow mountains, forests, meadows, streams, and waterfalls. After the visit, return to Siguniangshan Town to rest.

After breakfast, you will set off from Siguniangshan Town and begin your journey back to Chengdu. The scenery along the way remains truly breathtaking. You will make a brief stop at the Cat's Nose Ridge Viewing Platform, where you can capture a stunning panoramic view of Siguniang Mountain. If the weather permits, you can clearly see the majestic four peaks in the distance, making the viewing experience even better.
