It is famous for its exquisite layout, picturesque scenery, and exquisite architecture and carvings. It is mainly divided into three parts: east, middle, and west. The museum has a rich collection, comprehensively displaying the long history, precious cultural relics, and distinctive crafts of the Wu region. Among them, the Five Dynasties Secret Color Porcelain Lotus Bowl, the Northern Song Dynasty Pearl Relic Shrine, the Yuan Dynasty "Seven Gentlemen Painting," and the Spring and Autumn period King Fuchai of Wu's sword are treasures of the Suzhou Museum, worth seeing. After lunch, you will visit [Tiger Hill], known as the "First Scenic Spot in Wuzhong." This is one of Suzhou's iconic attractions, witnessing the historical changes of the ancient city of Suzhou. Strolling through it, you can enjoy magnificent natural scenery and cultural landscapes, feeling the unique charm of "three excellences and nine suitability." Tiger Hill Pagoda and Sword Pool are must-see attractions at Tiger Hill. Among them, Tiger Hill Pagoda is one of China's oldest existing brick pagodas, the only surviving Five Dynasties building, and the world's second leaning tower, known as the "Leaning Tower of Pisa of the East." Its brick carvings are exquisite and the architecture majestic. Sword Pool is very mysterious. Legend has it that during the Spring and Autumn period, King Fuchai of Wu buried his father Helü here with three thousand swords as burial goods, hence the name Sword Pool. It is famous for its "small in size but grand in view, residence and garden combined" layout and its small yet elegant design, known as the "ultimate example of small Suzhou gardens" and "Suzhou's most elegant private garden." A nighttime visit to the Master of the Nets Garden has a unique charm—you can enjoy garden lighting and live performances, listen to pleasant pingtan soft words, and feel the poetry of "moon arrives, breeze comes." After breakfast, drive about 1 hour to [Zhouzhuang], known as "China's No. 1 Water Town" (about 44 km from Suzhou). This is one of China's most representative ancient water towns in the Jiangnan region and one of China's six great ancient water towns. It was first built during the Yuanyou period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1086) and named after Zhou Digong donated land to build a temple. It is famous for its layout of "small bridges, flowing water, and households", profound historical and cultural heritage, elegant and graceful water town scenery, and simple Wu dialect folk customs. The ancient town fully preserves the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties and traditional water town lifestyle. It is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and has been selected multiple times by international media as one of the "World's Most Beautiful Towns". Strolling through Zhouzhuang, you can admire the oldest bridge, Fu'an Bridge; the Twin Bridges (Shide Bridge and Yong'an Bridge), famous for Chen Yifei's painting "Memory of Hometown"; the Shen Hall with its seven-courtyard, five-gatehouse layout; and the Zhang Hall with its layout of "sedan chairs enter from the front door, boats pass through the house", immersing yourself in the beauty of a "dream water town". After touring Zhouzhuang Water Town, you will drive about 2 hours to Hangzhou (about 140 km) to enjoy the beautiful Hangzhou scenery described by countless literati. Upon arrival in Hangzhou, you can visit Qinghefang Historical Street, stroll through ancient streets and alleys, admire ancient buildings and historical relics, and feel Hangzhou's thousand-year historical changes and style, as if traveling through time back to the prosperous Southern Song capital. Hangzhou Nightlife Suggestions 1. Impression•West Lake Show (19:40–20:35): If you want a deeper understanding of West Lake's rich cultural history and moving legends, you can watch the large-scale real-scene performance "Impression•West Lake", directed by famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou, with West Lake's landscape as the stage background. The performance lasts about 1 hour, integrating dance, music, lighting, and other visual and auditory effects, vividly presenting West Lake's most representative cultural and historical stories to the audience, captivating them. Hangzhou Canal Night Cruise (19:00/19:30/20:20, about 1 hour): The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal visited on the Hangzhou Canal Night Cruise is one of the world's longest and oldest artificial canals, with a history of over 2,500 years, and has been listed as a World Heritage Site. The starting and ending point of the Hangzhou Canal Night Cruise is Wulinmen Wharf. The Longjing Pavilion is adjacent to Longjing Village, built against the mountain and surrounded by tea plantations.
