This morning, you will head to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, known as the "Window of the City," to learn from multiple dimensions about Shanghai's historical development from a dilapidated small fishing village to today's international metropolis and its future planning. The Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center is located in downtown Shanghai and has 6 floors. Among them, the "Prologue Hall," "City of Humanities," "City of Innovation," and "City of Ecology" are the main theme halls. It adopts many high-tech digital technologies, such as VR, AR, holographic imaging, and the world's largest 5D digital city sand table. You can comprehensively understand Shanghai's past, present, and future in a relaxed and interesting way.
Afterwards, you will visit the Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre (PPAC), hailed as one of "China's Top Ten Museums." The Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre is located in Xuhui District, Shanghai. Founded by Yang Peiming in 2012, it is a private museum specializing in collecting and displaying calendar posters and propaganda posters. It has collected nearly 6,000 kinds of Chinese propaganda posters from the beginning of the last century to the present. It is deeply favored by tourists and is a must-visit place for an in-depth understanding of modern Chinese history. Here, you can see various distinctive calendar posters and advertising posters from the 1910s to the 1940s, and also view "New Year pictures" from the 1950s all the way to propaganda posters after the Cultural Revolution, as well as Cultural Revolution big-character posters and woodcut propaganda posters. From these propaganda posters rich in Chinese era characteristics, you can personally understand China's modern development process and the historical background of that time.
Practical tips
1. The Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center is closed on Wednesdays. If that day is Wednesday, you can visit the Shanghai Museum (closed on Mondays) near the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center instead.

After lunch, you will head to Xintiandi, known as one of the world's top 20 cultural landmarks.
